Remember the saying, “If Momma ain’t happy, nobody’s happy?” True enough, right? Most of us think about happy moms and it seems so right to honor her. And we will. This Mother’s Day, we honor and celebrate all who nurture, love, and care for others.
But…
We also want to name the tension for those who see this day as difficult. This Sunday we want to take time to remember the grieving mom and those who are grieving their own mom. Illness, miscarriages, and even death get in the way of days like this. We remember.
What about the wife who’s been trying so desperately to get pregnant or the single lady who wonders if she’ll ever get the opportunity. She watches as others start or grow families…and she waits. We remember.
Or the child who’s mom was absent or abusive…or both. It’s complicated, and the word “mother” isn’t always so sweet. We remember.
Or the foster mom, or grandmother raising kids that aren’t her own, or the spiritual mother who never had kids. She feels overlooked. We remember.
So, please join us for Muffins with Mom before the service this Sunday — a time to share sweet treats and meaningful moments together. All are welcome as we celebrate, remember, and support one another. We will also have a gift for adult “moms” and of course a fancy photo booth in the Welcome Center to make special memories!

Something very big is coming. Really big.
All I can say for now is…“Make Room” on Sunday, May 17th.
…in the worship service
Last thing for now.
Kids and Student camps are in full swing with very few spaces available. Like, very few. There are scholarships available, so don’t let that get in the way if you’ve doubted it was possible. Kids camp (7/20-24) is only available via THIS LINK! Jr High Camp (6/1-5) and High School Camp (7/6-10) are both available HERE.
I can’t believe summer is almost here already. This one is gonna be red hot…in more ways than one. See you Sunday!
