Fam!
SPARK was absolutely AMAZING! Pastor Caitlyn and her incredible team were on fire this week, leading our biggest VBS in years! The energy was huge, the joy was contagious, and most importantly, at least FOUR kids gave their lives to Jesus! That’s what it’s all about. Every game, every song, every lesson, every volunteer, every long day—it was all worth it for lives to be changed by Jesus.
All summer we, as a church, have studied and focused on the early life of King David — the shepherd-warrior-king (1 Samuel) — preached through several of the Psalms, and SPARK was built around Psalm 23. We wrapped it all up in a Gospel bow, and reminded kids that Jesus, the GOOD SHEPHERD, laid His life down for His sheep (John 10:11)!

Tonight is SPARK Family Night, and we want the whole family there! Come celebrate with us even if you couldn’t be at SPARK, see some of what your kids have experienced, take a peek at the new River Kids Center, and enjoy a great night together. Parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters—bring the whole crew! We can’t wait to see you tonight!

I’m excited to welcome back my father in law, Dr. Gary Miller, this weekend! Gary will be opening up Psalm 90—a powerful reminder that life moves quickly, God remains eternal, and every day that we’ve been given matters.
