Fam!
Jesus’ arrival at Jerusalem on what we now call Palm Sunday was prophesied long before it happened.
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
humble and mounted on a donkey”
Zechariah 9:9
“Hosannas” and Palm Sunday usher Jesus to His ultimate sacrifice — his life on the cross, where we are healed! The central message is that God sees us and loves what he sees. All that is asked of us in return is that we welcome him and put our faith in Him. We’ll talk more about this Sunday and explain the meaning some things we may take for granted.
Are we proclaiming the Palm Sunday promise to a watching world? Not only can we have confidence because of Christ’s payment for our lives, but we follow Him and influence others to do the same. People are watching, and more than ever, they need to see our faith. So, let’s shout our Hosannas and “rejoice greatly” by making sure the people we know and love are here with us on Easter!
Have you handed out your EASTER INVITES yet?? Invite all your people and pick up more this Sunday!
See you Sunday!
