Hey River Family!
We had an incredible week at kids camp this last week. Our week was filled with lots of laughs, adventures, and Jesus. The kids got to face their fears on the ropes course and learned to work as a team on the low ropes challenges. We of course enjoyed some time by the pool and had a blast jumping off the dock into the pond. I think silent disco was the biggest hit of all and we can’t wait to host one here at the church. During worship and bible studies kids learned about God’s true purpose for them and what Jesus dying on the cross means for them.
They dove deep into what it truly means to be a follower of Christ and how it doesn’t just stop when we say yes to Him. Saying yes gives them the courage and the strength to face life and to share who God is with others around them. They learned that we aren’t meant to keep Jesus to ourselves, but to go out and make disciples by not only sharing the good news, but also by living a life that reflects the fruits of the spirit that have been placed within us. This past week we had eight kids say yes to Jesus and that’s ultimately what camp is all about!
I would like to give a special thank you to Kendra Martin, Lily Spohn, Pastor Brent, Pastor Bradlee, and my husband Dustin Copenhaver for volunteering to go to camp with us this year. These people were rockstars and loved our kids so well. Another big thank you to those of you that give to our church. Without your obedience to God we wouldn’t be able to do what we do here, so again thank you!
Sincerely,
Pastor Caitlyn
