Church Family,
As we enter this holiday season, we’re reminded once again of the incredible gift of love God has given us through His Son, Jesus Christ. This is a time to reflect on His grace—and to share that same love with others.
Ashley and I have experienced, first hand, your incredible kindness and generosity. Your constant outpouring of love toward us and others is so lifegiving! Whether it’s prayers, cookies, time, or AMAZING pastor-appreciation gifts last month, you never forget or fail to surprise us. THANK YOU. We love you very much!
The holidays can be a season of great joy, but for many in our community, they can also bring real challenges. Families may be struggling to put food on the table, single parents may be stretched thin, and some children may be longing for a reminder that they are not forgotten. This is where we, as the body of Christ, have the opportunity to shine His light. This year, we’re inviting you to take part in our holiday giving outreach—whether through Give Thanksgiving, Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, or gift cards for single parents. Your generosity can be a tangible expression of God’s love and a source of hope for those who need it most.
Every meal shared, every gift given, every act of compassion reminds others that God sees them, cares for them, and is working through His people to meet their needs. Scripture reminds us in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
ONE IMPORTANT DETAIL: I’ll share more about this on Sunday, but choose one of the options as a family this season. Nobody needs to give to multiple opportunities, nor should you feel any obligation to give at all. Prayerfully consider how your family will participate with us in one of the options listed above, and the give joyfully. Your gift will make a huge difference in someone’s life!
Thank you for being a generous, faithful, and compassionate church. May your holidays be filled with the peace and joy that come from giving and from knowing Him.
I’m grateful for you!
